Frequently Asked Questions about Heartway
Is this group therapy?
No, the trainings and workshops offered by Heartway are not group therapy. They are classes that give you the skills and experiential activities to enable you to make personal discoveries about yourself and your life.
Are you affiliated with a particular religion?
No, the trainings are non-denominational, although they are indeed spiritually based. Past participants have come from all religious and non-religious backgrounds.
Do your trainings involve uncomfortable physical requirements or confrontational sessions?
The trainings will ask you to "stretch", or to move out of your comfort zone. However, you are never at any time denied personal comfort. You are always able to choose whether or not to participate, or to select the level of your participation. However, those participants who "go for it" always come away with the greatest benefit.
Is this something my spouse and I should do together or separately?
You alone know the nature of your relationship. We often have spouses in the same class, but some couples do choose to go through the training together. Having a family member in the group will change the nature of your training, but not the quality. You are always free to discuss your concerns with us before you begin.
Do you have programs for teenagers?
We do not at this time have specific classes only for teens, but many of our trainings are appropriate for teenagers. Please discuss your personal needs with Lynell or Lynette and they will be able to direct you to the appropriate class.
